Ahmed’s journey into innovation didn’t begin in a corporate boardroom; it began in a school workshop. Driven by a childhood obsession with deconstructing mechanics and building his own concepts, he pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Design at Huddersfield University. It was here, in an environment where design was the heartbeat of the curriculum, that Ahmed experienced his first “light bulb moment.”
He realized that while any engineering problem has infinite solutions, true excellence lies in differentiation. To move beyond the norm, he committed to a singular, career-defining principle: Target the most optimal and simplest solution—every single time.
Throughout his 30-year career, Ahmed became known for a rare cognitive trait: the ability to see elegant solutions where peers and predecessors had seen dead ends for decades. While others managed complexity, Ahmed deconstructed it. This “visionary troubleshooting” allowed him to identify hidden levers for productivity in legacy systems that had remained stagnant for a generation.
Accompanying this intuitive edge was a second realization: the power of Collective Genius. Ahmed understood that the best designs are not born in isolation but are forged through the collaboration of diverse, high-performing teams. By bridging the gap between individual technical brilliance and cross-functional synergy, he turned these “impossible” solutions into global realities.
These core learnings—Simplicity, Vision, and Collaboration—guided Ahmed through an illustrious career, including 18 years of transformative leadership at PepsiCo International. As a Senior Manager of Process Innovation and a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (F.I.Mech.E), he applied his philosophy to deliver results that defied industry conventions:
Today, as the Director of PDEP, Ahmed brings this lifelong passion for “seeing the solution” to his clients. He partners with manufacturing leaders and tech startups to navigate the “Scale-Up Gap,” ensuring that every project is rooted in the same principles he discovered at Huddersfield: finding the most optimal path, leveraging the collective genius of the team, and delivering performance that defies convention.
Bridging the gap between ambitious growth and real-world manufacturing through innovation, engineering excellence, and proven global expertise.
